Our assignment was to create a design to be cut out using a CNC router or laser. The only requirement was that the design needed to include interlocking pieces. I chose make a cube out of 1/8” plywood. I felt I needed more practice with fusion and figured this project would be a nice exercise.

I made a basic tongue and groove design. I made a few mistakes while creating the sketch in Fusion, the biggest being that I drew all 6 sides in the same top down orientation. It was not a huge deal, but it made more work for me later in the process.

To test my design I extruded the sketches, made components from my bodies and arranged them into a cube using the constraint tools

Once I had verified that the cube could actually be assembled I was able to cut it out.The cube was able to be assembled as drawn. The only unknown was the kerf, but I figured it would be negligible and it ended up being small enough to create enough space for the pieces to fit together easily without being too loose. I am happy with the way my cube turned out.
